Te gedenken gebeurtenis: deelstaat Beieren
Beschrijving van het ontwerp: Op het binnenste gedeelte van de door Erich Ott ontworpen munt is het oostaanzicht te zien van slot Neuschwanstein, een van de beroemdste historische monumenten van Beieren, met op de voorgrond het poortgebouw, de romantische torens en torentjes van het slot zelf en daarachter de majestueuze bergen. Daaronder staat de naam van de deelstaat: BAYERN. Rechts staat het muntteken van het huis waar de munt is geslagen (A, D, F, G of J), links de initialen van de ontwerper.
Langs de buitenrand van de munt zijn de twaalf sterren van de Europese Unie afgebeeld, met bovenaan een D en onderaan 2012 voor respectievelijk het land en jaar van uitgifte.

Description:The inner part of the coin, designed by Erich Ott, depicts one of Bavaria’s most famous landmarks, Neuschwanstein Castle, viewed from the east, with the gatehouse in the foreground, the romantic towers and turrets of the castle itself, and the majestic mountains behind. Beneath is the name of the federal state “BAYERN”. To the right is the mintmark of the respective mint (A, D, F, G or J) and to the left are the initials of the designer.
The outer ring features the 12 stars of the European Union with a “D” at the top and “2012” at the bottom, denoting the country and year of issue respectively.
